Job Title : Engineer, Compute Operations

Team: Infrastructure, Compute Operations

**What we re looking for from you*: As a Lead, your primary responsibility will be acting as an Expert for Cloud related technologies primarily AWS. The candidate will be able to offer a wealth of experience across the AWS cloud platforms, with a good knowledge of Enterprise technologies such as Virtualisation, Networking, Storage, Backup, operating systems and devops tools.Is able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, motivation, as well as excellent problem-solving capability.

This position will provide designs, solutions, and support as the technology landscape transforms to take advantage of new cloud related technologies.

Additional areas of responsibility include Architecting platforms, Application Support, Process development, Technology road maps, Mentoring operational staff, ongoing evaluation of new technology and cost optimization process:

**Skills and Responsibilities**

This position will provide designs, solutions, and support as the technology landscape transforms to take advantage of new cloud related technologies.

+ Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, high available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on the Cloud

+ Create and Manage Terraform and cloud formation modules as required for the Project

+ Deploy all AWS services using Terraform and cloud formation and Manage the state files

+ Implement and manage continuous delivery applications and methodologies on AWS (CI/ CD), configuration management tools.

+ Good understanding in Python and Lambda

+ Good working knowledge on repositories (GIT)

+ Selecting appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements

+ Migrating complex, multi-tier applications on Cloud Platforms

+ Proficient in AWS Services. Deployment, Monitoring and troubleshooting applications in AWS.

+ Configuration management tools like Proficient in the deployment of applications behind load balancers and proxy servers such as nginx, apache.

+ Designing and deploying enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud Platforms

+ Implementing cost-control strategies

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Ensure the infrastructure environments are fully supported and meet our defined set of SLAs.

+ Bring infrastructure configuration and application code under a version control system that is easily managed.

+ Be an escalation point for P1 issues and assist with solving these problems.

+ Work with 3rd Party suppliers to ensure that processes are adhered to and leveraged for current and future business requirements.

+ Guarantee that security best practices are taken into account throughout the build and deployment of Enterprise platforms.

+ Digest new services provided by Cloud providers and understand whether they would be suitable for the business to adopt.

+ Ensure product documentation is maintained and up to date

+ Work and contribute towards the automation of service delivery and adopt our CI/CD pipeline technology

+ Must be willing to respond to major incidents relating to infrastructure outages, outside of normal working hours

+ Must be willing to work shift patterns.

+ Must be prepared to work flexible hours to cover the change window

**The role will require:**

+ High motivation to deliver services to the businesses by meeting or exceeding the defined SLAs

+ creating and maintaining product and service documentation for reference

+ To create and support rapid infrastructure deployment solutions

+ To ensure systems meet security, confidentiality, integrity and availability requirements and associated compliance needs

+ To perform root cause analysis for any service interruptions

+ To develop their own talent as well as their team members.

+ Highly flexible available to support 24/7 for any major issues

+ Manage the team and drive them on BAU.

+ Good Knowledge on ITIL process to comply with the governance.

+ Ability to handle the situations alone and should have good decision making skills.

+ Hire, manage, and mentor a team of infrastructure, DevOps, front-end and back-end developers
