Lead VMware Engineer - Virtualization (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

- 5-7 years of experience in VMware 6.0,6.5 & 7 Virtualization Technology

- Responsible for all day-to-day management of the VMs including installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, backup and recovery

- Good knowledge on management and troubleshooting of Virtualization VMWare NSX and vSAN.

- Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of the projects.

- Hands on delivery in a client facing environment.

- Understand the storage configuration, LUN creation procedures and policies

- Excellent hands-on experience on Windows Platform with 2016/2012 operating systems.

- Good experience in Mid-range/Enterprise Dell Hardware Servers.

- Basic Knowledge of VMware SDDC architecture

- Excellent experience in OS Hardening, performance, and OS tuning

- Good Knowledge on VMware management tools - VCOPS/SRM/VUM-Update Manager

- Good Knowledge on DC and DR Drill execution.

- Good knowledge on firmware & BIOS upgrade on Blades/Chassis/Rack - Dell

- Should be able to do Capacity Planning

- Should be able to Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents

- Knowledge of networking concepts (advanced networking/switching/routing)

- Good operations knowledge with ITIL process knowledge

- Create and maintain system documentation for updates made to the infrastructure environment.

- VMware Certification preferred.
