Floor Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee daily showroom operations, ensuring efficiency and a premium shopping experience.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal at all times.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Ensure compliance with showroom policies and operational standards.
• Ensure prompt and high-quality customer service, addressing concerns professionally.
• Monitor customer interactions, ensuring personalized and attentive service.
• Track sales performance, motivating the team to achieve targets.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling through effective coaching and leadership.
• Supervise and support sales associates, driving team performance.
• Conduct regular staff training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain stock levels and proper merchandising.
• Ensure stock rotation and accurate display of new arrivals.
• Implement and maintain visually appealing merchandising strategies.
• Enforce health, safety, and security regulations within the showroom.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards promptly.
• Act as a communication bridge between staff and management.
• Support the execution of promotional activities and showroom events.
• Provide regular performance insights and customer feedback to management.
• Resolve customer complaints and assist staff in managing difficult situations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or retail management role, preferably in the jewellery or luxury goods sector.
• Strong leadership abilities to guide, motivate, and manage a dynamic team.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop showroom staff for peak performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively handle customer complaints and concerns.
• In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, upselling, and cross-selling strategies.
• Commitment to delivering a high-end shopping experience with exceptional customer service.
• Thorough understanding of retail operations, including stock management and showroom maintenance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software for reporting and analysis.
• High attention to detail to ensure showroom displays meet brand standards.
• Strong eye for visual merchandising to create an attractive and engaging showroom environment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment while meeting sales targets.
• Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple showroom operations efficiently.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining operational excellence.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other showroom locations during expansion phases.
