Medical Transcriber

Skills Required:

• Proficiency with personal computers and word processing software.

• Normal hearing acuity .

• Excellent listening skills .

• Good with English grammar

Roles Responsibilities:

• Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.

• Transcribe dictation for a variety of medical reports.

• Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded forms to ensure the accuracy of patient and health care facility records.

• Ability to operate word processing equipment, dictation and transcription equipment, other equipment as specified to troubleshoot as necessary
