Senior manager - AIF (GIFT CITY)

Position Summary:

The Fund Accounting & Operations will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements at the GIFT IFSC. The role requires a deep understanding of fund structures, financial products, and the regulatory environment within an international financial services center.

Role & responsibilities

Fund Accounting:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, NAV calculations, and investor reports for funds.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of fund accounts, including bank reconciliations and portfolio valuations.
• Audit Support: Liaise with auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of audits.
• Expense Management: Oversee the calculation and allocation of fund expenses, including management fees, performance fees, and other fund-related expenses.

Operations Management:

• Trade Processing: Manage trade order processing, including execution, settlement, and post-trade activities for various financial products.
• Cash Management: Monitor cash flows, manage liquidity, and ensure proper cash positioning for funds.
• System Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting and operations systems, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in fund operations, implement best practices, and optimize efficiency.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all fund activities comply with the regulations of the IFSC Authority, SEBI, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Reporting: Prepare, Review and submit regulatory reports as required by the IFSC Authority and other governing bodies.
• Risk Management: Implement and monitor risk management practices to mitigate operational and financial risks within the fund operations.
• Policy Development: Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; a masters degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA, CPA) is preferred.

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, operations, preferably within an international financial center or similar environment.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of fund structures, financial products, and regulatory frameworks relevant to IFSCs.
