We are seeking a skilled DDI Network Engineer to manage, configure, and troubleshoot DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), and IPAM (IP Address Management) solutions within our enterprise network. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless IP address allocation, network name resolution, and overall network stability.
Key Responsibilities:
DNS Management:
Configure and maintain DNS infrastructure for both internal and external domain resolution.
Troubleshoot DNS issues, including name resolution, caching, and performance-related problems.
Ensure high availability and scalability of DNS services.
Implement security measures to protect DNS infrastructure from attacks (e.g., DNSSEC, rate limiting).
DHCP Management:
Configure and manage DHCP servers and scopes for IP address assignment across the organization.
Ensure DHCP lease allocation is optimized and track DHCP usage trends.
Troubleshoot DHCP-related issues, including address conflicts, lease problems, and network connectivity.
Integrate DHCP with IPAM systems for better address tracking and management.
IPAM (IP Address Management):
Oversee IP address planning, assignment, and allocation across the enterprise.
Maintain and manage the IPAM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date IP address records.
Work closely with network engineers to plan and implement IP address schemes that optimize network efficiency.
Manage subnetting, address space allocation, and address reservations.
Network Configuration and Maintenance:
Collaborate with other teams to ensure proper DNS, DHCP, and IPAM integration with network devices and applications.
Automate DDI processes where possible (e.g., through scripting or integration with other network management tools).
Perform regular audits and checks to ensure compliance with IP address policies.
Document network configurations and maintain accurate records of IP address assignments.
Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution:
Proactively monitor DDI systems and resolve any service disruptions or performance issues.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for DNS/DHCP/IPAM-related incidents and problems.
Collaborate with other network engineers and IT support teams for cross-functional troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Essential knowledge on Efficient IP or Infoblox is required.
Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher is preferred.
Additional certifications in DNS/DHCP/IPAM systems (such as Infoblox, BlueCat, or other DDI-related certifications) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of [3-5] years of hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) systems.
Proven experience in managing DDI solutions in enterprise networks, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Infoblox, BlueCat, or other DDI platforms is preferred.
Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge:
Expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies and tools.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and IP addressing concepts.
Ability to design and implement DNS and DHCP solutions for large-scale networks.
Familiarity with cloud-based DDI solutions or hybrid DDI architectures is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to analyze complex network issues.
Ability to automate routine tasks using scripting and integrate DDI solutions with other network management platforms.
Familiarity with security best practices for DNS and DHCP services.
Additional Skills (Optional):
Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.
Knowledge of IPv6 addressing and DNS/DHCP configuration for IPv6 networks.
Experience in network security related to DNS and DHCP (e.g., DNSSEC, DHCP snooping, etc.).
