Azure Architect - Cloud Services (4-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Azure Architecture & Design :

- Architect and design Azure environments, infrastructure, and services to facilitate seamless migration from on-premises environments to Azure.

- Develop and implement scalable and resilient cloud architecture solutions within the Azure Cloud ecosystem.

- Create comprehensive migration plans for IT infrastructure, services, and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Migration Strategies :

- Develop and execute migration strategies for Microsoft Office business tools and solutions from on-premises to Azure Cloud tenants.

- Lead the migration of critical systems, applications, and data while ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Design and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and PowerShell.

- Automate deployment processes to streamline provisioning and scaling of Azure resources.

Identity and Access Management :

- Architect and administer Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) to enable secure access management.

- Collaborate with IT security teams to implement and manage cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.

Cloud Security & Governance :

- Collaborate with security teams to establish robust cloud security frameworks that comply with industry standards and organizational policies.

- Monitor and manage cloud resources to ensure compliance with governance policies and best practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and security, to ensure smooth Azure adoption.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and peers.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and report on project progress.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting :

- Continuously monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure infrastructure and migration-related issues.

Required Skills & Expertise :

Azure Expertise :

- Hands-on experience designing and deploying Azure environments, including virtual networks, storage, compute, and PaaS services.

- Proficiency in creating Azure migration strategies for on-premises applications and systems.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Expertise in Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and PowerShell for IaC.

Identity Management :

- Proficient in managing and administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including role-based access control (RBAC) and conditional access policies.

Cloud Security :

- Strong knowledge of Azure security best practices, governance, and compliance standards.

Automation & Optimization :

- Experience in scripting and automation to optimize cloud resource provisioning and management.

Cloud Migration :

- Proven experience migrating enterprise-level applications, services, and infrastructure from on-premises to Azure.

Collaboration :

- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud architectures.

- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AKS).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
