Role & responsibilities

• Administers the Medical Records Services program to meet necessary accrediting and research standards.
• Directs the management of systems, procedures and standards for accurate processing, analysis, compilation and diagnostic classification of disease.
• Devises and implements new systems of medical records maintenance and management.
• Assist in the development of Hospital policies and procedures as they relate to medical records.
• Develops orientation and staff development programs and keeps staff aware of job changes and technical advancements.
• Reviews space allocation and ensures most efficient use of space and equipment.
• Implements and monitors all safety procedures.
• Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the medical record department.
