Job Description

Higher Secondary / Madhyami k / ITI passed.
Minimum 1 year experience in Water related livelihood development Project/Programme at
community level.
Must be a local person.
Proficiency in Bengali language is mandatory.
Proficiency in operating smart phone.
Ability to ride a motorcycl e and should have one for field movements.

Scope of work:

To perform surveys activity and assist Team Leader technical team in respect of identification selection of new schemes within the allotted jurisdiction. Facilitate organize meeting with prospec tive farmers. Follow up and collection of base line information for preparation of DPR / SDMP as required.
To perform the PRAs and FGDs.
To assist technical team to draw command area of the schemes using GPS. Collection of Latitude and Longitude of scheme and other locations as required by the Project.
To assist collection of other relevant information of FCSs/WUAs using apps and formats a s approved by the Project.
To facilitate forming of Water Users Associations (WUAs)/ Fishermen Cooperative Societies
(FCSs) and facilitate organizing training, capacity building, exposure visits, etc. as per project requirement.
To visit FCS/WUA regula rly as per approved plan. Organize meeting with FCS/ WUA for execution of plan as guided by the concerned expert and follow ups. Help support in conflict management under the guidance of the other team members.
Organize and ensure FCS/ WUA members partici pation in meeting, training, exposure visits, execution of planned activities and adoption, etc. as suggested by the experts and follow up.
Facilitate grounding of pisciculture and allied activities under the guidance of concerned expert, follow ups and ac t as a link between farmer and expert for better impact.
Facilitate grounding IFS components, w ter management, grading, corpus building, selection of farmers for demonstration, lead farmers, enrollment in Krishi katha, record keeping and
maintaining of o ther registers at FCS/ WUA end as well as facilitate deepening other activities which are related to the strengthening of the FCSs/WUAs.
Keep farmer wise information for each FCS/WUA. Periodic information collection and sharing of progress and challenges t o Project Manager and respective experts.
Enable FCS/ WUA members to up keep and update records as per Project guidelines.
Extension Works execution including institution and Aquaculture Support ervices (ASS).
Monitor and supervise the FCSs/WUAs institu tional activities, the aquaculture and allied livelihood activities in the field. Provide handholding support to farmers.
Develop group dynamics of the SHGs and farmers groups and their empowerment.
Collect basic final DATA, before and after implementati on of Fisheries and allied work .
Support the project team to organize and execute various events.
Perform any other duties assigned by the project manager and the Organization as per need.

Maturity and confidence in dealing with high rank Govt. officials and related personnel.
Understand the Rural/Urban planning structure and processes and the role of concerned d epartments.
Able to work in multi socio cultural, socio economical, and socio political circumstances.
Possess ability to manage the project team and community professionally with an inclusive approach.
