Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our eye hospital. The candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and assisting in managing ocular diseases. They will also work closely with ophthalmologists to provide high-quality patient care.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Perform vision tests and refraction to determine corrective lens prescriptions.
Conduct slit lamp examinations to detect eye abnormalities.
Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions like refractive errors, dry eyes, and binocular vision problems.
Assist ophthalmologists in the pre - and post-operative care of patients undergoing eye surgeries like cataracts and LASIK.
Conduct contact lens fittings and provide training on lens usage and care.
Perform tonometry and fundus examinations to screen for diseases like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
Provide low vision aid assessments and recommend appropriate visual aids.
Perform visual field testing (perimetry), OCT, and corneal topography when required.
Should participate in outdoor as well as indoor eye check-up camps
Required Skills:
✔ Expertise in refraction and prescription writing
✔ Proficiency in using optometric instruments (Autorefractor, Tonometer, Slit Lamp, OCT, etc.)
✔ Strong communication and patient counseling skills
✔ Ability to work in a team-oriented hospital environment
✔ Attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in an eye hospital or clinic is an advantage.
