Senior Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Authorises customer transactions, including Letters of Credit and International payments & decides alternate procedural actions within policy, procedures and industry practices and rules.
• Technical upskilling of STF expertise among broader team to ensure coverage of related roles exists, including PUA oversight and feedback to Product and Sales teams. Provide technical mentoring to l/c doc checking team including upskilling, increase in level of mastery in their ability to interpret ICC rules and be able to articulate this.
• Retain & develop technical expertise of export l/c rules – UCP600/ISBP – and continue to complete document checking – ie retain current status of having final signoff on documents.
• Business SME for Trade related project activity – ie SWIFT 7XX series messages for SWIFT 2018/2020 upgrades
• Provide professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position.
• Proactively monitors risk and assurance requirements within agreed Risk Appetite and manages non-compliance in a timely manner (required risk accountability for all roles).
• The Analyst has a sound knowledge of International Trade Finance practices, procedures and governing rules and methods of International Payments, and possesses the ability to discuss these procedures and transaction events with internal and external clients to provide solution alternatives, and preform resolution with Financial Risk activities.
• The Analyst supports the Manager Trade Finance Operations in coordinating the daily activities of a small team of Team Members ensuring that workload is processed, efficiently, accurately and within the standards set out in service level agreements, service standards and performance targets, and in compliance with all aspects of policy, procedure and statutory requirement.
• The Analyst provides coaching, monitoring and supervision of direct reports to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their role to be compliant with FSRA requirements and external legislation in a professional & ethical manner.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• They must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and a proactive passion for continuous self-development and learning.
• Proven mentoring skills
• 3+ years International Trade Finance transaction processing experience and a broad understanding of company activities.
• Solid knowledge of International Trade Finance practices, procedures and governing rules and methods including URC 522,UCP 600, ISBP 745
• Immediate joiner preferred
