Director, Data Science (AI & Automation)

Your role and responsibilities:

• Work with Product and Tech teams to own and expand our existing suite of AI-based microservices , leveraging state-of-the-art LLMs from OpenAI and Anthropic

• Collaborate with Product, Partnerships, Client Success, Sales, and Marketing to modernize our workflows using RPA and AI

• Build NLP pipelines for data labelling, matching and extraction (ex., Named Entity Recognition and Entity Resolution )

• Assess the quality and adaptability of your solutions and iterate to optimize performance

• Apply best practices of MLOps / LLMOps in deploying new products and services to production

We expect you to have:

• 10+ years developing in python

• 7 + years processing structured and unstructured data using NLP

• 3+ years management experience, leading a small team and owning projects from concept to completion

• 2 + years applying LLMs and RAG to tackle real-world, industry problems .

• Proven understanding of NLP and related concepts such as vectorization, entity resolution, string similarity, and semantic search

• Experience with RPA, web-scraping, and LLM fine-tuning is a strong plus

• Cloud and systems experience in AWS S3/EC2, Databricks, and L inux

• Passionate about Generative AI, consistently tracking the latest industry developments

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

• Ambitious and hardworking self-starter, driven to succeed in a fast-paced, startup style environment

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Masters preferred.

It would be phenomenal if you:

• Have previous experience crafting financial data products

• Have strong aptitude and/or curiosity about financial markets

• Leadership experience in a start-up environment
