QA/QC Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer with 5-6 years of experience in the building construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities adhere to the required quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations. You will be involved in inspections, testing, and providing guidance to junior QA/QC staff to ensure the highest levels of quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure that quality standards and codes are met.
• Perform quality control inspections and site audits to ensure that construction work complies with design specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor the use of materials and resources to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
• Manage and implement the construction quality control plan, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with agreed standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential issues and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve any quality-related concerns.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of inspections, test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Lead the resolution of non-conformance reports (NCRs), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements during construction.
• Conduct training and mentoring of junior QA/QC staff on construction quality standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-6 years of experience in QA/QC in the building construction industry like Highrise buildings, commercial and infrastructure with expertise in managing and overseeing quality control processes on construction sites.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards (e.g., ASTM, BS Standards, ISO 9001).
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and building codes.
