Requirement Details

Design and Development:

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and develop mechanical components for prosthetic limbs and orthopedic devices

Conduct research to stay updated on the latest advancements in prosthetic and orthopedic technology

Prototyping and Testing:

Create prototypes of prosthetic and orthopedic devices for testing and evaluation

Perform mechanical testing and analysis to ensure the functionality, durability, and safety of devices

CAD Modeling:

Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models of prosthetic and orthopedic components

Materials Selection:

Evaluate and select appropriate materials for prosthetic and orthopedic applications, considering factors such as strength, weight, and biocompatibility

Quality Control:

Establish quality control procedures to ensure the manufacturing of reliable and high-quality prosthetic and orthopedic devices

Collaboration:

Work closely with medical professionals, prosthetists, and orthopedic surgeons to understand patient needs and tailor designs accordingly

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes

Familiarity with biomedical engineering principles

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Excellent communication skills

Understanding of regulatory and quality control standards in the medical device industry is a plus
