Purchase Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors for required goods and services.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Evaluate purchase requirements and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or other vendor concerns.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on price trends and supply availability.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to optimize procurement costs.
• Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product quality.
• Work closely with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Track orders and ensure the timely delivery of goods to avoid disruptions.
• Monitor inventory records to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with departments to understand procurement requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of market trends and sourcing best practices.
