Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in the power sector, hydro, or construction industries to lead and manage large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth technical knowledge, and proven experience in handling complex projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale power, hydro, or construction projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations and organizational objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring resource availability and allocation.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Manage, mentor, and guide project teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel, to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and addressing concerns promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, clients, and contractors, ensuring project compliance with local and national regulations.
4. Risk Management & Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during the project lifecycle, making quick decisions to keep projects on track.
5. Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Prepare and submit regular financial and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all project activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental laws, and company policies.
- Monitor site safety practices and ensure that all workers are trained and compliant with health and safety standards.
7. Project Reporting:
- Provide detailed project reports, including timelines, budget adherence, and key achievements, to senior management.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in project updates, keeping all stakeholders informed about progress and any challenges.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the power, hydro, or construction industry, managing large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in managing the full lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
- Experience in handling contracts, tenders, and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance within the industry.
