Qa Automation Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the quality assurance process for software projects.
• Lead a team of Manual and Automation Testers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Drive the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, including manual and automated testing.
• Utilize your 5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in automation testing, to ensure the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure the team follows strong testing methodologies, defect management practices, and design techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, with a preference for in-sprint automation.
• Implement and maintain UI automation using Selenium WebDriver (Java / C#) and Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with API automation using tools like Rest Sharp.
• Demonstrate your understanding of CI/CD principles by working with tools like Jenkins or Azure Pipelines.
• Utilize your familiarity with SQL Server and/or Azure Cosmos DB to test database interactions.
• Leverage your experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) to manage testing artifacts.
• Apply critical thinking and effective communication to provide clear quality assessments.
• Work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality software delivery

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.

• Solid knowledge of QA principles, testing methodologies, and best practices.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

• Experience implementing API testing using tools like Rest Sharp.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and in-sprint automation practices.

• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bonus: Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter
