Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the inventory of electronic components, tools, and equipment used by the ECE department.
• Ensure the proper storage and organization of materials in the department's store, following safety and handling guidelines.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock, verifying quantities, and checking for any damage.
• Issue and distribute materials and equipment to faculty, staff, and students as per departmental requirements.
• Keep accurate records of issued materials and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Assist in conducting regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery to meet departmental needs.
• Prepare requisitions and assist in the procurement process as needed.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of materials, requisitions, and receipts.
• Help faculty and staff with technical requests and ensure that necessary equipment is in working order.
• Maintain a clean and organized stores area, ensuring safety standards are followed.
• Assist in the disposal or recycling of obsolete or damaged equipment in accordance with department policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and communication equipment, tools, and components.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and suppliers.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (computers, printers, etc.) and inventory management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a stores or inventory management role, preferably in an academic or technical setting.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement processes.
• Basic understanding of electronics and communication equipment used in educational or research settings.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.
• On-site, within the ECE departments facilities.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work for inventory checks or events.
