About the role:
The Head of Marketing, Brand, and Communications at the Museum of Solutions will lead the strategic marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, increase brand awareness, and boost retail ticket sales.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for innovative storytelling, audience engagement, and data-driven marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be a key driver in positioning MuSo as a top destination for families and schools, ensuring all marketing efforts align with the museum's mission to inspire, enable, and empower children to create meaningful change.
They are responsible for overseeing the editorial aspects of our brand and ensuring consistency across all brand-related communications.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, brand, and communications strategy that aligns with the museum's mission and revenue goals, particularly increasing retail ticket sales and visitor numbers.
- Collaborating with the Sales Team, on developing a digital strategy for all visual communication channels, keeping in mind visitor experience and engagement.
- Developing a cohesive strategy and produce engaging content across a variety of written and multimedia formats: Website, Social Media handles, newsletters, PR communication collaterals, sales collaterals, digital signages within the premises etc.
- Work with various departments in the museum to curate & design the messaging of all activities around the year.
Revenue and Sales Growth:
- Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (digital, social, offline) aimed at driving ticket sales, increasing museum memberships, and growing revenue from various museum offerings (events, workshops, retail).
Brand Building:
- Build and enhance the MuSo brand by creating compelling narratives and communication strategies that resonate with both new and existing audiences, positioning MuSo as a leader in experiential, hands-on learning.
- Develop Avenues to create user generated content aimed to build the brand.
Digital Marketing:
- Oversee the museum's digital presence, including the website, social media, email marketing, and SEO, to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Work with a digital marketing agency to develop an effective strategy and ensure that content is disseminated adequately and adhere to the creative guidelines & brand language.
Market Research & Analytics:
- Utilize data analytics and customer insights to refine marketing strategies, understand visitor behavior, and track campaign performance. Use data-driven decision-making to optimize ticket sales and brand messaging.
- Constantly tweak the content to ensure traction and visibility.
Public Relations & Communications:
- Manage media relations and external communications to ensure consistent brand messaging, building strong relationships with key press outlets, influencers, and community leaders.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, ensuring collaboration with other departments to achieve the museum's objectives.
Budget Management:
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment for marketing and brand-building activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing communications or business related fields.
2. 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven track record of driving revenue growth through marketing campaigns.
4. Software knowledge of Canva, Google Suite, and WordPress.
5. A sharp understanding of Meta & Google Analytics to understand audience behaviour across various digital platforms.
6. Strong knowledge of brand strategy, public relations, and media relations.
7. Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
8. Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage insights for strategic planning.
