Job Role Insights

Job Description

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Review applications (e.g., PAN, DSC, etc.) prepared by junior staff of the team.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of income-tax submissions/compilations for assessment/appellate matters.
  • Provide assistance in representing clients before income-tax authorities.
  • Review capital gains statements and calculations, including dividend stripping working.
  • Review certificates and remittance letters (e.g., Form 15CB) to facilitate remittance of amounts by FPIs.
  • Engage in regulatory assignments, such as registration with regulatory authorities and advisory assignments (e.g., FEMA, Banking/NBFC/Insurance guidelines).
  • Review regulatory applications (e.g., NBFCs, PPI, Banking Applications).
  • Conduct technical research on the latest case laws, circulars, and other updates.
  • Prepare memos and presentations for advisory assignments.
  • Ensure adherence to the firms internal risk management protocols.
  • Assist senior team members with prospective client pursuits.
  • Track timely billing for clients, ensuring payments and TDS certificates are processed efficiently.
  • Attend external training sessions to stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
  • Supervise junior team members effectively, taking responsibility for reviewing their work.
  • Play an active role in knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in income-tax and the regulatory space (e.g., FEMA, NBFC, Insurance Regulations).

Desired Qualification Experience & Skills:

  • Qualification: Qualified CA with 3-7 years of experience in Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI); open to considering non-CAs with greater years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work under stringent deadlines and in demanding client conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal, team, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Adherence to clients corporate tax compliance timelines (assessments, filing of returns, advance tax, TDS, etc.).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of income tax, with a basic working knowledge of FEMA (FDI/FPI) and SEBI (FPI) regulations.
  • Ability to deliver multiple engagements with high-quality standards and within agreed timelines.
  • Strong people management and client management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
