Job Description

Qualification Profile Professional certification, such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA (Chartered Accountant) or ICWA and/or DISA/CISA minimum 8-14 yrs

Job Responsibilities

To add value and improve operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes
Plan and execute audit engagements, including data analysis and testing.
Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
Prepare and present audit reports to stakeholders.
Collaborate with external auditors during statutory audits, internal auditor and regulatory compliance assessments.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and execute remedial actions.

Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing

Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
Review each control and analyse them in terms of costs and benefits;
Review the systems established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations which could have a significant impact on operations and reports, and should determine whether the organisation is in compliance.
Review the means of safeguarding assets and, as appropriate, verify the existence of such assets. The objective of the management is to ensure that assets are reasonably and adequately protected against loss and that they are properly managed and accounted for. The safeguard of assets should not be restricted to mere pilferage but physical threats like fire, water, electricity, etc.;
Appraise the economy and efficiency with which resources are employed;
Review operations or programmes to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether the operations or programs are being carried out as planned.
The requirements to meet audit objectives and handle audit team;
The relative materiality of matters to be investigated;
The effectiveness of systems of accounting and administrative internal control, testing of Internal Control over Financial Reporting;
The estimates of costs of implementing audit test plans in relation to likely benefits to be derived.
Creation and recommending approval of the audit programme;
