Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team and lead various projects across several teams to help create processes and execute strategies to ensure projects are developed in a timely manner.
Engineering Manager responsibilities include researching and developing new products, building project budgets and overseeing the successful execution of projects throughout the year.
Ultimately, you will work closely with different teams to ensure projects are completed according to schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop designs and products
- Determine the need for training and talent development
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
- Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
- Ideal candidates should possess strong analytical, design, and problem diagnosis skills.
- Candidates should have the skills to create highly interactive and well-designed user interfaces for web browsers.
- Underlying infrastructure of the Internet to web servers, to browsers.
- Web-based technologies (JavaScript / Java frameworks), Java Stack Exposure, and Server-side programming.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Java and UI stack.
- Proficient experience with web technologies, frameworks, and tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, XML, jQuery, Spring, etc.
- Should be well versed with State Management, Redux, Reducers, JavaScript, and CSS in ReactJS/UI.
- Understanding & practice in design patterns and writing testable code.
- Must have Product development exposure. Multiple SDLC.
- The ability to write reusable, optimized, maintainable code that is well documented and follows industry-standard best practices.
- Be actively involved in the code review process, design discussions, and team planning.
- Check their team s work for technical accuracy
- Coordinate work with other managers
Requirements and skills:
- Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role
- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
- Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel
- Hands-on experience in software development and system administration
- Knowledge of strategic IT solutions
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems
- Supremely tech savvy, able to wear multiple hats such as being an awesome programmer, application developer, technical architect, database designer
- Large scale software product engineering experience with contemporary tools and delivery methods in a complex environment (i.e. DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with programming languages like Javascript, Java, SQL.
- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, UNIX, and databases like MySQL
- Experience in cloud computing and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and change management
- Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
- Good to have any Agile certification
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
