The role also performs effective centralised database administration for multiple databases globally. This includes Oracle databases for production, testing, and staging environments across the Organization.
This opportunity will suit an Oracle DBA who enjoys providing technical guidance and who can play a key role in supporting and driving forward our database developments.

Experience:- Oracle DBA 10+ Years of Experience

• Must have Expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing Oracle databases in cloud environments, including AWS (RDS, EC2), Azure (SQL Database for Oracle), and Google Cloud (Cloud SQL, Compute Engine).
• Strong experience as an oracle DBA, working with Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c ,19c and/or 21c technologies. Proficient in Oracle RAC, Data Guard,
• RMAN, ASM, Oracle Goldengate, and cloud-native services.
• Perform on-call rotation duties in a 24×7 environment and Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex production issues, respond to escalated tickets and manage high-priority incidents, ensuring quick resolution.
• Strong experiences on Linux with Oracle installation upgrade and patching including Oracle Real Application Clusters and Data guard.
• In-depth experience with RMAN, cloud-native backup services, and recovery strategies across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
• Plan and execute Oracle database migrations from on-premises to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Utilize cloud-native tools and services for seamless migration.
• Experience with database migration tools (e.g., AWS Database Migration Service, Azure Database Migration Service, Oracle Zero Downtime Migration).
• Maintain detailed documentation on Oracle database architectures, Procedures, and best practices for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Advanced knowledge in tuning SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance at scale in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Must have expertise in Upgrade & Migration of large databases across data Centre.
• Need to apply PSU patches to various versions of oracle databases – rolling for RAC Systems.
• Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery and high availability solutions using Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Goldengate, and cloud-native services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation tasks and cloud orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Operations Suite, and other monitoring platforms for performance metrics

Required skills: -

• Ideally Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP) with more than 5 years’ experience with Oracle, preferably in a lead role. Experience should include DB design (modelling and normalisation), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, back-up and recovery, managing schemas, report generation and DB clustering technologies.
• Operating system experience in Linux.
• Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).
• Partitioning.
• Architecture design principles.
• Good problem solver, focused and dedicated developer with ability to work on your own as well as with a team.
• Hands on experience with DB standards and end user applications-translating capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology.
• Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment (11gR2).
• Experience with an organisation with a key reliance on 24x7 reliability on its database.
