Database Administrator - Oracle DB (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

1. Database Design & Architecture :

- Design and implement database architectures to support high-performance and high-availability requirements.

- Collaborate with development teams to create and optimize database schemas, indexes, and queries.

2. Administration & Maintenance :

- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c, or later).

- Implement and manage backup and recovery processes using RMAN and other tools.

- Ensure database security by implementing policies, roles, and access controls.

3. Performance Tuning :

- Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning SQL queries, memory usage, and I/O operations.

- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks.

4. Automation & Development :

- Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to automate routine tasks.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database integration.

5. High Availability & Disaster Recovery :

- Configure and maintain RAC, Data Guard, and other high-availability solutions.

- Establish and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

6. Troubleshooting & Support :

- Provide 24/7 support for critical database issues.

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to database systems.

Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.

- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and internals.

- Expertise in PL/SQL programming.

- Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.

- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and monitoring tools.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS). (Good to have)

- Experience with big data integrations (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). (Good to have)

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform. (Good to have)

- Exposure to other database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). (Good to have)
