Mr. Cooper - Software Engineer - MERN Stack (5-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled MERN Stack Developer to join our growing team in Chennai. As a MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, documentation, and deployment.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, document, and analyze modules or features of new and upgraded software systems and products.

- Develop and execute implementations according to project plans and priorities.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring the smooth operation of applications.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

- Work with SQL databases to design and implement efficient data models.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong proficiency in ReactJS.

- Experience with state management libraries (i.e., Redux, Context API) is a plus.

- Proficient in Node.js.

- Experience with Spring Boot is highly desirable and can be considered as an alternative to Node.js.

- Solid understanding of SQL databases (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Experience with NoSQL databases (i.e. MongoDB) is a plus.

- Experience with CI/CD deployments and tools.

- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with testing frameworks (i.e., Jest, Mocha, Cypress).

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Experience with containerization technologies (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes).

- Understanding of security best practices in web development.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in software development
