Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot)

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user-facing applications. Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the application code and infrastructure. Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to design schemas, write queries, and manage data storage. Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security in the backend systems.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and improving overall code quality. Implement security best practices in the backend code to protect against common vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws. Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented design principles.
Experience with the Spring Boot framework for building RESTful APIs and microservices. Understanding of core concepts in web development, including HTTP, REST, and JSON. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Exposure to Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and other Spring ecosystem projects.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Knowledge of software development best practices, including design patterns, testing, and debugging.
