JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Import Logistics Specialist I
Location: India

The Import Logistic Specialist is part of the India Trade Compliance Team and ensures that operational Import logistics activities in India is performed efficiently to meet agreed KPIs and functional goals, co-ordinate with Third Party on shipments and address any issues. The Import Logistic Specialist also interacts with other Supply chain functions, Procurement, Warehouse, Finance and Sales.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage the import operations process for shipments entering India.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and customs clearance procedures.
• Dealing with and solving critical issues related to Shipments.
• Attend and monitor regular Shipments Inquiries.
• Coordinate Customs clearances with CHA/Importer, Local and Overseas Suppliers, Forwarders, Transporters and Warehouse on Timely Delivery and Clearances of Goods.
• Preparation of documents for various Government incentive schemes.
• Help customers in knowledge of Incoterms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Customs regulations, and other relevant government requirements/regulations.
• In coordination with Importer to prepare customs documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

• Experience in Import s Logistics.
• Knowledge of Indian Custom s Clearance Regulation is must.
• Must have a good communication skill.
• The capability to drive the right results with a focused and pragmatic approach.
• Detailed and thorough in work habits with high multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook and other software.
• Work independently and remain flexible.
• The ability to prioritize workloads and maintain resilient attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENT

• Requires any bachelor's degree.
