Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities, and ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines. Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and quality control to ensure smooth operations. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
2. Resource Management: Ensure optimal use of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials. Maintain inventory levels to prevent production delays. Manage and supervise production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
3. Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Implement and monitor quality control processes and procedures. Address any production issues or quality concerns promptly.
4. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the production process. Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other best practices to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend upgrades or changes.
5. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Promote a safe working environment and culture.
6. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and reports. Analyze production data and prepare reports for senior management. Ensure all production documentation is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
