Production Manager

Production & Operations Management:

• Oversee and manage the formulation-based production of feed supplements and veterinary medicines.
• Develop and implement production schedules, batch planning, and process optimizations.
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP, WHO-GMP, and FAMI-QS guidelines.
• Maintain high productivity, efficiency, and minimum waste generation.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure production aligns with regulatory and quality standards (WHO-GMP, FAMI-QS, ISO, etc.).
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure batch compliance, documentation accuracy, and process validation.
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and process evaluations to uphold quality standards.

Team & Workforce Management:

• Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Conduct training sessions on SOPs, formulation techniques, safety measures, and GMP compliance.
• Ensure workplace safety, hygiene, and adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines.

Inventory & Resource Management:

• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for the availability of raw materials and excipients.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking of formulation ingredients.
• Implement cost-control measures and process efficiency improvements.

Process Improvement & Reporting:

• Analyze KPIs, batch yields, and efficiency reports to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process automation, new formulation techniques, and scale-up strategies.
• Report production status, challenges, and strategic improvements to senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of formulation technology in feed supplements and veterinary medicines.
• Expertise in WHO-GMP, FAMI-QS, and other regulatory standards.
• Hands-on experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with production equipment, machinery, and automation technologies.
• Experience with ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
