SQL Developer

• Position requires the ability to read and write complex queries, ability to create database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions) and modify existing reporting content.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual would need to be able to understand complex business processes, gather requirements, work efficiently, and verify their results.

Scope:

• SQL Developers are responsible for developing SQL databases and writing applications to interface with SQL databases.
• Development often consists of designing tables, storing procedures, views and functions.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Compile user requirements and specifications for reports, Design, create and test SQL reports using SSRS.
• Validate report functionality with internal staff/end users, respond to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reports.
  Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016 Database Platform, Microsoft
• Reporting Services 2012/2014/2016 Development Environments.
• Develop new report requirements, changes to existing reports, and identify reporting errors, other duties may be assigned as needed by management.

SSIS

• Design and develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views and triggers to be used during the ETL process.
• Designing and developing SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems.
• Builds data transformations with SSIS including importing data from files, moving data from one database platform to another.
• Debug and tune SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data.
• Design, implement and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes) and database security.
• Experience working with SSIS packages, Test and prepare ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments

SQL SERVER Administration

• Maintain backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery performance and tuning of database and application, managing database back, Managing database security, roles, and profiles
• Working closely with IT to support physical database administration including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management, performance tuning and capacity planning, Database monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting, Design, and maintenance of SSIS packages, monitor database performance to ensure integrity of data and provide tuning of the database for optimal performance, Identify need for hardware / software upgrades or replacements
• Administrative control of all databases, to include backup/recovery maintenance using integrated maintenance functions and secondary backup software, Deep understanding of SQL Server monitoring technologies, Knowledge of SSIS, SSMS, and SSRS
