Maintain and manage the company s patent docketing system, ensuring deadlines for filings, office actions, responses, and other critical patent events are tracked accurately
Assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications and related documents with the USPTO and international patent offices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Ensure compliance with patent-related deadlines, such as maintenance fees, filing deadlines, and office action responses, and take proactive action to avoid missed deadlines
Keep accurate records of filed patents, patent applications, and related documents in the docketing system
Provide regular updates on the status of patent filings and deadlines to relevant internal teams and stakeholders
Collaborate with external patent agents, law firms, and internal teams to manage patent portfolios and resolve issues related to filings and deadlines
Work with the R&D, legal, and business development teams to support patent matters and align with corporate strategies
Assist with global patent portfolio management, ensuring proper organization and access to patent data
Stay updated on changes in patent laws, regulations, and procedures to ensure compliance
Qualifications & Education: Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate or pharmaceutical patent docketing, with a strong understanding of both domestic and international patent filing procedures
Experience with patent docketing software (e

, FoundationIP, CPI, Anaqua, etc
)
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical patent issues, such as patent term extensions and Hatch-Waxman Act
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote work environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
Certification or training in intellectual property or patent law is a plus but not required
