Position Overview:

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, managing accounting staff, and providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Accounting Operations:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standars of different entities and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

1. Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate and complete annual and semi-annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulations.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

1. Staff Management:

• Supervise and manage accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Evaluate performance and develop improvement plans for staff.

1. Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in the accounting processes and systems.
• Implement and manage financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

1. Stakeholder Communication:

• Communicate financial results and insights to senior management.
• Act as a point of contact for external auditors and other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA is preferred), Qualified CA.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Thorough knowledge of financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software and databases (e.g., QuickBooks & Xero preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
