NoSQL Developer - MongoDB/Cassandra (6-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NoSQL Developer to join our growing team.

As a NoSQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure, focusing on both SQL and NoSQL technologies.

You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our data stores, working closely with development teams to support their data needs.

This is a remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities :

- Database Management & Optimization : Manage and optimize SQL & NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Redis, and MongoDB. This includes performance tuning, query optimization, and schema design.

- Database Configuration & Monitoring: Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve database performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Proactively identify and resolve potential database issues.

- Security & Backups : Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, encryption, and regular backups. Develop and execute disaster recovery plans.

- Database Migrations : Plan and execute database migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

- Cloud Platform Integration : Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for database deployments, management, and scaling.

- Experience with cloud-native database services is a plus.

- Availability & Scalability : Ensure high availability, scalability, and data integrity of databases.

- Implement appropriate redundancy and failover mechanisms.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with development teams to understand their data requirements and provide support. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding database performance and issues.

- Documentation : Maintain clear and concise documentation related to database architecture, configuration, and maintenance procedures.

- Performance Analysis : Conduct performance analysis and identify bottlenecks. Implement solutions to improve database performance and efficiency.

Required Skills :

- Extensive NoSQL Experience : Demonstrable experience with multiple NoSQL databases, including hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Cosmos DB.

- SQL Database Proficiency : Strong understanding and experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Cloud Database Management : Hands-on expertise in managing databases in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with cloud-native database services is preferred.

- Performance Tuning : Proven ability to analyze and optimize database performance.

- Security Best Practices : Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures.

- Backup & Recovery : Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Oracle Database experience.

- Experience in the Retail/E-commerce industry.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e., Python, Bash).

- Experience with database automation tools
