Product Head - Merchant Lending

Location: Gurugram (Work from Office, Immediate joiners preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Business Head to lead our Merchant Lending division. As the Business Head, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability for our Merchant Lending vertical. Your role will involve shaping the product's strategy, managing key partnerships, and achieving business targets, all while keeping pace with the dynamic fintech landscape.

What you'll do:

• Understand the trends and competitive landscape in the Merchants/NBFC/FinTech/Merchant Loan market.
• Identify potential opportunities for Merchant Lending Product and build relationships with top management with various Brands
• Ensure compliance with corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements, as well as other relevant internal/external standards for all assigned partners. Stay abreast of changes, competitive shifts, and customer propositions that could impact the business and its customers.
• Experience in business growth, managing Merchant Lending, and strategic partnerships with FinTech ecosystem and top merchant players is highly valued.
• Must have strong networking, communication, implementation, and conflict management skills. The ideal candidate should be strategic, process-oriented, and assertive in approach.
• A strategic thinker who can plan, execute, and adjust according to circumstances, with a clear objective of achieving the organization's strategic vision and business growth.
• Responsible for achieving the overall P&L of the business
• Collaboration with Risk and Collections team for overall health of the portfolio

What you'll possess:

• Bachelors degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Candidates with existing relationships with ecosystem partners, Brands, Banks, and NBFCs are highly desirable.
• Proven track record of at least 14-16 years in a leadership role within the fintech or financial services industry, with a focus on PL.
• Strong understanding of PL products, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in numerical analysis, advanced Excel, and presenting insights to top management and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and financial software.
