Job Description

This role involves guiding and leading the development team to ensure successful project delivery across ESS/CSO products. The key responsibilities include maintaining high development quality, stability, and product performance through automated unit testing, peer code reviews, and implementing best practices. The leader will also identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and ensure effective delivery with minimal escalations. Additionally, the role requires active participation in roadmap planning , feature estimation , and deployment support .
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Team Development & Project Delivery:
  • Lead and mentor the team towards successful project delivery within the ESS/CSO domain.
  • Ensure the quality and stability of the development process, maintaining high product standards.
  • Enforce best practices for software development, including automated unit testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization.

Actively monitor project progress, identifying and addressing blockers, risks, and escalations to ensure smooth delivery.

Quality Assurance & Best Practices:

Develop and implement best practices that ensure the development of high-quality products.

Document best practices, processes, and technical solutions for future reference to promote reusability.

Regularly assess integration processes to ensure seamless communication between applications and maintain system integrity.

Guide the team in conducting peer-reviews of solution designs and code to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Deployment & Risk Management:

Oversee the creation of deployment packages and actively support the deployment process to ensure successful releases.

Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to resolve implementation challenges and risk mitigation strategies.

Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle and develop plans to address them, ensuring timely project execution.

Team Growth & Performance Management:

Lead the hiring process, identifying opportunities for growth and development within the team.

Conduct regular 1-1s to support career development and performance management, offering rewards and recognition.

Implement effective onboarding processes to accelerate the productivity of new joiners or freshers.

Monitor team performance metrics to assess project health and continuously plan for areas of improvement.

Estimation & Planning:

Contribute to initial and detailed estimates during roadmap planning, feature estimation, and resource allocation.

Ensure resource utilization is optimized and delivery schedules are tracked to maintain project timelines.

Continuous Improvement:

Track the health of the project by reviewing key metrics and planning for improvements in development and deployment processes.

Encourage the team to adopt best practices for clean code, security, and overall development excellence.

Promote the use of automated testing, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, Harness, etc.), and maintain adherence to Agile methodologies. What You Will Have

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

  • 10 to 14 years of experience in software development with hands-on expertise in .Net applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in team management, successfully leading development teams towards project success.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing web-based and client-server applications.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong experience in developing, integrating, and deploying software solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
  • Proficient in working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Harness, FOSSA, etc.
  • Solid experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit, NUnit, etc.
  • Knowledge of security concepts including OpenID, OAuth 2.0, TLS, and OWASP guidelines.
  • Familiarity with programming best practices, design patterns, and software design structures.
  • Expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, and clean code principles.
