Mobile Automation Test Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated test frameworks and scripts for both web and mobile applications. With a deep understanding of automation testing, mobile testing, and cloud technologies, this role will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our core technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Testing:
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile platforms.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks for scalability and reliability.
• Perform end-to-end testing, including API testing, performance testing, and regression testing.
2. Mobile Testing:
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases for mobile applications.
• Collaborate with mobile development teams to address defects and enhance app quality.
3. Test Strategy and Execution:
• Define and implement test strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Monitor and analyze test results to drive continuous improvement.
4. Collaboration and Problem Solving:
• Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to identify and resolve issues early in the SDLC.
• Advocate for quality engineering best practices and mentor junior SDET team members.
5. Cloud and DevOps Integration:
• Leverage AWS for test environments, infrastructure as code (IaC), and scalability testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes.
6. Core Technology Focus:
• Ensure quality in applications leveraging .NET Core, React, Svelte, Postgres, OpenTelemetry, and Apache Pulsar.
• Use observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot application performance during testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in mobile application testing (iOS/Android).
• Strong programming skills in languages like Java, C#, or Python.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and database testing.
• Cloud & DevOps:
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and Kubernetes for testing environments.
• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry for performance analysis.
• Technology Stack:
• Exposure to .NET Core, React, Svelte, Postgres, Apache Pulsar, and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
