Role Overview:
- The Sales Manager - Cloud Managed Services will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the CMS domain.
- This role requires a deep understanding of managed cloud services, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a go-to-market (GTM) strategy to grow the CMS business.
- Identify and acquire new customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts.
- Own the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring achievement of sales targets.
- Work closely with the pre-sales and technical teams to craft tailored solutions for customer needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to drive lead generation campaigns and brand positioning.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
- MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in IT sales, with at least 3 years in cloud managed services sales.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in cloud or IT services.
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, and multi-cloud managed services.
- Experience engaging with CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, and other key stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with Cloud Migration strategies (on-prem to cloud)/(cloud to cloud).
- Familiarity with Cloud DR services.
- Experience working with AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) programs.
- Strong network within the IT and cloud services industry.
Good to have: Familiarity / Understanding of AI, preferably in Managed Services spaces.
