Position: Compliance Manager
Job Summary:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the Compliance team in developing, implementing, and monitoring the organization's compliance program. This role ensures that the company operates in adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development and Implementation:
- Assist in designing, developing, and implementing compliance policies and procedures in alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
Audits and Risk Assessments:
- Support compliance audits, risk evaluations, and assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability.
Compliance Tracking and Monitoring:
- Maintain and monitor compliance trackers related to corporate laws, regulatory guidelines, and applicable sector-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely updates to compliance trackers.
Regulatory Updates and Communication:
- Stay updated on changes in relevant regulations and communicate these changes to appropriate stakeholders.
- Educate employees on compliance requirements and best practices, ensuring consistent adherence to standards.
Training and Awareness:
- Conduct regular compliance training sessions to promote awareness and understanding across the organization.
Investigations and Corrective Actions:
- Assist in investigating compliance violations and recommend corrective measures to mitigate future risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of compliance-related matters.
Regulatory Filings and Monitoring:
- Review and monitor regulatory filings, disclosures, and reports, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and content requirements.
- Handle periodic regulatory submissions and disclosures as required by authorities.
Policy Advisory and Documentation:
- Draft, review, and provide advisory for various internal policies, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.
Regulatory Inspections:
- Manage end-to-end activities for regulatory inspections, including liaising with authorities, coordinating data collection, preparing responses to observations, and drafting related documentation.
Special Projects:
- Support projects related to regulatory approvals, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, governance, and other sensitive matters as required.
Academic Requirements:
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification is mandatory.
- Additional qualifications in law, compliance, or related disciplines will be an advantage.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using compliance tracking tools and software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
