Job Description :

- Our client is a leading cloud contact center platform offering advanced tools for call routing, analytics, and automation.

- On behalf of our client, we are looking for a skilled Senior VDI Administrator to join our team remotely.

- As a VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for the management, configuration, and optimization of virtual desktop environments across various vendor platforms, including VMware, Citrix, and Amazon.

- Your role will involve implementing best practices for VDI deployment, configuration, and administration to support testing scenarios and ensure optimal performance.

- Additionally, expertise in vendor SDKs and APIs will be highly beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and maintain VDI environments (VMware Horizon, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, Amazon WorkSpaces) for optimal performance.

- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure stability.

- Manage user profiles, permissions, and security, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

- Develop and execute testing strategies, report defects, and maintain system reliability.

- Utilize vendor SDKs and APIs to automate tasks and streamline VDI management.

- Implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

- Optimize VoIP and streaming audio within virtual desktops, collaborating with network and VoIP engineers.

- Manage Five9 applications using SCCM, ensuring compliance and efficient deployment.

- Collaborate with IT teams to align VDI configurations with business needs.

- Document processes, policies, and troubleshooting guides in Confluence and Jira for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing VDI environments, preferably across multiple vendor platforms.

- In-depth knowledge of VMWare Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop (W365), and Amazon WorkSpaces.

- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing.

- Familiarity with vendor SDKs and APIs for VMWare, Citrix, and Amazon VDI platforms.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

- Experience with VoIP technologies and audio optimization in virtual desktop environments is highly desirable.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have :

- Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
