Diagnostic Technician (Luxury car )

A leading automobile dealer into luxury car is looking for a Certified Diagnostic Technicianfor their four wheeler service center at Pune.

1. You possess outstanding and detailed system knowledge of vehicles, service, repairs, and diagnosis.
2. You possess good knowledge of the structure, function and networking of systems and components in the vehicle.
3. You possess very good knowledge of vehicle electronics and data bus systems.
4. You possess good knowledge of telecommunications, software handling, IT networks and menu structures.
5. You are familiar with the operation of all current vehicle systems and their functions
6. You are familiar with all maintenance, test and adjustment operations or rapidly become familiarized with these.
Preliminary diagnosis and diagnosis
1. Systematically and professionally carrying out complex diagnoses on vehicles using corresponding diagnosis tools
and aids (visual inspection, on board diagnosis, test drive, and off-board diagnosis).
2. Documenting the results of the preliminary diagnosis on the workshop order.
3. Checking the up-to-dateness and quality of the data and preparing the vehicle or required diagnosis tools.
4. If necessary, contacting the customer for additional information on the malfunction.
5. Performing difficult diagnoses in cooperation with the system technician or diagnosis expert under dynamic test
conditions in the workshop or on the road.Ascertaining the cause of special malfunctions and initiating possible measures for rectifying the problem.
6. Comparing the vehicles present condition with the common production configuration and assessing the technical
condition.
7. Documenting diagnoses methods and processes in a suitable diagnosis database.
8. In the case of especially complex technical problems and/or an inconclusive diagnosis, contacting the Diagnosis
Expert at Diagnosis Support Center (DSC).
9. Contacting the DSC to ensure the time allowed for warranty and goodwill work is met.
10. Using various checklists during the preliminary diagnosis, which make it possible to check and document proper
performance of the individual work steps.
