Salesforce DevOps Engineer - Copado (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Requirements :

- Hands-on (4 yrs preferred) experience as a Salesforce DevOps with Copado or any similar tool like Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts.

- Experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git, Copado, Flosum etc.)

- Relevant experience in any of the following areas: (Release management, software development lifecycle, DevOps)

- Solid understanding of tools and best practices for Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment

- Knowledge of Salesforce development lifecycle models

- Strong expertise in Software Development Life Cycle.

- Strong experience working in Agile.

- Good exposure to DevOps process (CI /branch strategies) and tools (Jira, GitHub and Copado).

- Good understanding of Salesforce release management process.

- Strong communication Skill

- Experience working in European projects

Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of an entry-level Salesforce DevOps engineer are as follows :

- Merging and reviewing the teams work in the source control.

- Opening pull requests and committing changes to the source control.

- Adding the deployment notes to balance the audit trail.

- Monitoring, improving and setting up the DevOps processes, including test automation and CI/CD approach.

- Experience in handling salesforce metadata, environments and sandbox management

- Running the data deployments by using Salesforce Sandbox seeding to test the features.

- Testing and running the final releases to the production environment and restoring or rolling back if any error arises in the loop.

- Leading the team and providing mentorship to other team members.

- Observing the whole DevOps process, including backups in the Salesforce ecosystem.

- Delegating access to DevOps practices and orgs and assigning permissions to the team.

- Defining the KPIs for DevOps and tracking the overall team performance using the required

DevOps tools.

- You must also monitor the lead time, release velocity, change failure rate and restore time.

- Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for post-release issues, ensuring timely resolution of any problems that arise.

- Review the code quality using static code analysis, and developers code coverage using automated unit testing.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE :

- Proficiency with Salesforce metadata management and tools such as Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, PMD, and Integrations.

- Strong understanding of Git-based version control systems.

- Deployment Tools : GitHub, Copado, Azure DevOps, Flosum, Jenkins

CRM : Salesforce.com CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community)

Mandatory CERTIFICATIONS :

- Copado Fundamentals I/II (Admin / Developer)

Desired CERTIFICATIONS :

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

- Salesforce Certified App Builder

- Salesforce Certified Administrator
