Social Media Intern

Role Overview
The Social Media Intern will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the online
presence of our crowdfunding platform. They will assist in executing social media
strategies, creating engaging content, and fostering meaningful interactions with our
community of fundraisers and donors.

Upon successful completion of three months, the internship may transition into a
full-time position as Social Media Specialist, subject to performance evaluation and
review

Key Responsibilities

Content Planning & Calendar Management
Assist in weekly content planning, organizing a social media calendar, and ensuring timely scheduling of posts across platforms.

Content Creation

• Write, edit, and publish engaging social media posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Create engaging short-form video scripts and compelling copy for social media posts.
• Ensure a seamless content flow across platforms while coordinating and curating collaborative content with influencers to enhance engagement and brand reach.
• Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics, ensuring content aligns with platform standards and best practices.

Community Management

• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and
  professionally.
• Build relationships with followers to encourage engagement and trust.

Performance Tracking

• Use analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Meta Ads Manager) to track
  the performance of posts and campaigns.
• Compile weekly and monthly reports on engagement, reach, and other
  KPIs.
  

Trend Analysis:

• Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best
  practices.
• Suggest new ideas and formats to improve content performance.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the communications and PR teams to ensure consistent
  messaging.
• Assist with influencer outreach and partnerships as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any of the fields such as Journalism, Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills is mandatory
• 1-2 years of experience in managing social media accounts (internships or
  freelance experience is acceptable).
• Proficiency in social media platforms and basic knowledge of tools like Canva,
  Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, etc.
• Strong writing skills with attention to detail
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
• Passion for purpose-driven work and empathy for fundraisers and donors.
• Based out of Mumbai, preferably in central Mumbai
  

Salary and Probation
The first three months will be considered an internship, with confirmation based on performance and review. The stipend during the internship period will be INR 20,000 per month. Upon confirmation, the remuneration will be as per industry standards.
