Should take ownership of work and individual as well as team deliverables

Should have worked for mainstream print and/or digital news publications in Mumbai

Should have excellent reporting, writing and sub-editing skills in English

Should have excellent news judgement and a very good knowledge of news and current affairs. Knowledge and understanding of regional and national politics and policy a must

Ability to report and write news copy compliant with SEO, social media and other best practices

Ability to create content within tight deadlines, yet meet accuracy and quality-control standards

Ability to do multimedia reporting, including anchoring video and hosting podcasts in English

Ability to collaborate with other teams on multiple stories simultaneously

Should be willing to work long hours, including early mornings and late nights, including on weekends, with rotating shifts and weekly offs
