Role Overview

As a Senior Web Developer / Team Leader within the Digital Marketing Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the web development team's performance, ensuring the Microlise website operates at peak efficiency, and driving continuous innovation. Reporting directly to the UK-based Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead the web development team, collaborate closely with marketing, design, and IT teams, and implement cutting-edge web solutions that align with our digital strategy.

You will be required to work from our Pune office on a weekly basis, fostering collaboration and ensuring smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the web development team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the Microlise Group websites, ensuring seamless functionality, performance, and responsiveness.
• Implement website innovations, ensuring a cutting-edge digital presence that supports marketing goals and user engagement.
• Optimise website structure for SEO, speed, and usability, enhancing lead generation and customer journey.
• Develop, test, and deploy new website features using modern web development technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Team to integrate marketing automation tools, landing pages, and campaign tracking.
• Work closely with HubSpot, ensuring seamless integration with the website and marketing automation efforts.
• Utilise Google Analytics and other tracking tools to monitor website performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Ensure security, accessibility, and compliance with best practices and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently, minimising downtime and improving user experience.
• Keep up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and digital marketing tools to enhance site performance and engagement.
• Drive collaboration between team members and stakeholders to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Web Developer or Team Leader in a marketing or digital team environment.
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Experience with CMS platforms, preferably WordPress or HubSpot CMS.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress and WordPress add-ins.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, website optimisation, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in working with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other tracking tools.
• Experience integrating and working with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Experience managing and mentoring a team, ensuring high performance and skill development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web hosting platforms is a plus.
• Willingness to*work from the Pune office on a weekly basis for effective team collaboration.
