What you will do
Lead the design and implementation of headless commerce solutions, collaborating with clients to create tailored solutions that meet their needs.
Focus on non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as security, performance, availability, resiliency, reliability, and maintainability, ensuring the appropriate trade-offs align with business goals.
Work closely with Senior Managers, Product Managers, and Platform Engineers to define technical architecture and establish engineering practices and guidelines.
Collaborate directly with clients to design enterprise-level e-commerce solutions using Shopify Plus and marketplace integrations.
Convert business requirements into clear technical specifications, offering actionable recommendations and strategies for solution implementation.
Take a hands-on approach in guiding development and execution of the solution, providing expertise during the implementation process.
Manage stakeholder relationships and drive key decisions on tools, technologies, user journeys, and overall solution governance.
Partner with sales teams and clients to design innovative solutions for critical business needs, providing accurate cost and timeline estimates.
Assist in business development efforts by preparing technical proposals that include project scope, cost, duration, and resource needs.
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure alignment on the overall IT strategy for headless commerce solutions.
Promote continuous improvement by adopting Agile and Kanban methodologies to keep the team agile and responsive to evolving requirements.
Encourage skill development across multiple technologies, platforms, and business models, contributing to the team s growth and versatility.
What you will bring
4 6 years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 3 years working on Shopify and Shopify Plus.
Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of Shopify Admin API and Shopify Storefront API.
Strong grasp of e-commerce best practices, including SEO and performance optimization.
Practical experience with integrating third-party apps and APIs, such as payment gateways, analytics tools, and marketing platforms.
Experience in integrating Shopify Plus with ERPs, CRMs, DAMs, and other enterprise systems.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage tasks, and deliver results efficiently in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on providing practical, solution-driven approaches.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control tools.
Understanding of global e-commerce markets and omnichannel retail strategies.
Shopify Plus certifications or equivalent are an advantage.
Experience with Build and Automation tools, Code Quality Plugins, CI/CD Pipelines, and Containerization platforms (eg, Docker/Kubernetes).
Experience working with multiple teams in a matrix organization.
Exposure to headless and hydrogen Shopify
Familiarity with other enterprise eCommerce platforms like SFCC and Adobe Commerce is a plus.
Strong client-facing communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead discussions and drive decisions.
