Senior Design Engineer is responsible for design development of industrial soft metal seated ball valves product line. In this position, you will design and develop a new ball valve product line to support our global growth targets.

Areas of responsibility:

Senior Design engineer is responsible for activities like

• Lead own concept design ideas, prototype build test.
• Co-ordinating with supplier and production for sample development.
• Support product certification process participate in certification audits for R D function for certifications like PED, API, SIL etc.
• Interact with Product Manager for better understanding of customer`s requirement.
• Closely work with global product centres to apply best engineering practices.
• Participate actively in design verification design reviews.
• Develop execute comprehensive product validation plans.
• Generation Protection of intellectual property
• Responsible for engineering documentation in support of product design, company standards, and regulatory requirements through the appropriate Product Data Management systems.
  

Basic Requirements of the Job

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE / BTech) in Mechanical Engineering, and around 6 - 8 years related engineering experience.
• Basic engineering (solid fluid) mechanics and have prior experience in industrial ball valve product development and engineering.
• Knowledge of process industry, basic metallurgy heat treatment, PTFE/O-rings, plating/coatings and valves are considered as an asset.
• Proficient in design tools SolidWorks and AutoCAD, PLM/EPDM packages, ASME/API/EN codes and standards, GD T, tolerance stack-ups.
• Excellent Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Proven ability to make decisions based on sound engineering practice/judgement.
• Agile way of working methodical approach and an eye for detail engineering
