Procurement Supply chain Manager - South

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement manager with specialized

knowledge in purchasing and supplying structural materials such as angles, channels, beams,

plates, and coils. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement

process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies, maintaining vendor relationships, and

overseeing the efficient flow of materials needed for production and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality angles, channels, beams, plates, and

coils from reliable suppliers. Develop and maintain a strong supplier network to ensure

continuous supply and competitive pricing.

- Vendor Management: Build and sustain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts,

and monitor supplier performance. Ensure compliance with agreed quality, delivery timelines,

and pricing standards.

- Cost Optimization: Conduct market analysis to stay informed about material price trends

and supply market conditions. Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on

quality or delivery deadlines.

- Inventory Control: Work closely with the inventory team to monitor stock levels of key

materials, plan orders based on demand forecasts, and ensure materials are available when

needed for projects.

- Purchase Orders & Contracts: Prepare and process purchase orders, review supplier

contracts, and ensure that procurement activities align with company policies and regulations.

- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials, ensuring

on-time delivery and resolving any logistical issues that may arise.

- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry

standards, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate documentation of all

purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.

- Supplier Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and

adherence to ethical standards.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including production, finance,

and quality control, to align procurement strategies with company objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement, with specific experience in purchasing and

supply of angles, channels, beams, plates, coils, and other construction materials.

- Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills.

- Excellent understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics.

- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of industry standards related to structural materials.

- Experience working in the construction, steel, or manufacturing industries.

- Familiarity with lean procurement techniques and cost-saving strategies.
