This can include; timing drive, valvetrain, rotating & reciprocating systems (crankshaft/connecting rod/piston/bearings), balancing systems and the ability to select technology types to ensure reliability and durability of systems analyses.
Desired Technical / Functional Competencies:
Experience in 2W/4W 1D Kinematic & Dynamic + 3D simulation of Structural analysis and development of powertrain systems and their integration into Hero vehicle product portfolio.
Experienced and capable to apply modern toolsets for delivery of simulation results. These should include GT-Suite, Altair, ANSYS, ABAQUS, ADAMS, AVL (Excite) & Ricardo (Valdkin/Valdyn) toolsets.
Detailed understanding of material science & systems engineering.
Understanding and application of standard Design processes inclusive of Product Specification, Design Review, DFMEA, DVP & Product Closure/Approval processes.
Should have a good understanding about the complete engine & transmission system architecture.
Knowledge of Selection of the material based on the application.
Openness to new approaches and high flexibility in engineering delivery.
Design validation based on the manufacturing process and material
Dynamic and proactive work approach
Familiar and experienced in using project management tools
Understanding time and cost implications and its control
Experienced in interaction with suppliers and internal/external customers
Work experience within global standards and time zones
