Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Automation Engineer with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Java and Selenium to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation frameworks, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely while contributing to cutting-edge projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application functionality and define testing strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and provide solutions.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
- Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and recommend improvements to the existing framework.
- Document test processes, results, and findings in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in test automation using Selenium and Java.
- Proficient in writing clean and efficient Java code.
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and software development lifecycles.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing environments.
- Basic understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
