Network Security Engineer

We are seeking motivated Network Security Engineers to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for freshers with foundational networking knowledge, certifications, and a passion for cybersecurity. You will be working closely with experienced engineers to setup, support and manage network and security infrastructure while ensuring robust security protocols are in place to protect against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.

As a part of our team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in network and security management and operations working on various technologies.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain security using technologies like Firewalls, Proxy, WAF, DLP, EDR, IAM, DAM, etc. to meet the organization's security requirements.

Monitor the logs and alerts for security incidents, investigate and respond to any identified issues.

Manage and Troubleshoot issues faced along with the relevant team.

Regularly update and patch the security appliances to ensure the latest security features and bug fixes are applied.

Optimize performance and fine-tune rules to maximize efficiency while maintaining security.

Expected to acquire expertise in one or more technologies to support the existing team.

Stay updated with the latest trends in cyber security and networking by attending necessary training and pursuing relevant certifications.

Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred

Relevant training or certifications in networking or cybersecurity are highly valued.

Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.

Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, FTP) and network services (e.g., DNS, VPN, DHCP).

Good understanding of network security principles such as Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption techniques.

Knowledge of common cyber threats, such as DDoS attacks, phishing, malware, and ransomware, and how they can affect networks.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Must be flexible to work outside of business hours as per business requirements.
